One app for every pattern you own

PDFs, printouts, patterns bought anywhere. AI reads the file and rebuilds it for your needles: your size only, your row always saved, charts you can actually read.

How it works

01

Bring a pattern

Upload a PDF or photograph a printed pattern, including the ones you bought years ago.

02

AI reads it

Sizes, gauge, materials and instructions are read from the file and laid out as a clean, readable pattern. The original stays untouched.

03

Knit

Filter to your size, count rows as you go, put it down and pick it up exactly where you stopped.

What's inside

Smart Reader

A pattern reader, not a PDF viewer. One size on screen, yours, with charts that stay sharp at any zoom and your row always saved.

Imports

Upload a file or photograph paper. AI reads it, sizes, materials, instructions, and files it in your library.

Crafting Tools

Row counter, gauge calculator, increase and decrease spacing, yarn estimator. The small tools you reach for mid-project.

Pattern Library

Every pattern you own in one place, searchable, sortable by yarn weight, technique or project status.

Project Tracking

Notes, modifications and progress live with the pattern. Put a project down for a month and nothing is lost.

Yarn Stash

Log what you have and check it against a pattern before buying new yarn.

FAQ

When does the app launch?

Autumn 2026 is the aim. Newsletter subscribers get access first.

Will my existing patterns work?

Yes, that's the point. Any knitting pattern you own as a PDF or on paper can be brought in.

What happens to the original file?

Nothing. It stays in your library exactly as it was, the reader is a layer on top, not a replacement. If the AI misreads something, the original is one tap away.

Which platforms?

iPhone and Android, with the reader on the web too. One account everywhere.

Does it work offline?

Yes. Patterns and your progress are stored on your phone, so you can knit where there's no signal.

Is my library private?

Yes. What you import is yours alone, never shared, published or visible to anyone else.

Do I have to buy patterns on knyt?

No. Knyt works with patterns from anywhere.

What will it cost?

To be announced; we'll share pricing before launch.

What about crochet?

Knyt starts with knitting, it's what we know first-hand. Crochet may follow.
